Milad Armani Dehghani

Dr. Milad Armani Dehghani is the Centre Manager of DIGIT Lab, an EPSRC-funded Next Stage Digital Economy Research Centre delivering a £12.4 million, five-year programme in partnership with over 30 large-scale organisations.

Prior to joining the DIGIT Lab, Milad served as a Senior Research Fellow in FinTech at Nottingham Business School, where he was part of the Centre for Finance, Technology, and Society. His work focused on digital transformation, IP strategy, end-user innovation, and technology forecasting, engaging directly with industry partners to translate emerging research into commercial impact.

Milad holds a PhD in Technology Management & Industrial Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome and brings over 10 years of international experience across the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, and Canada—spanning academia, innovation consulting, and applied research. He has worked closely with financial institutions, technology startups, and public-sector stakeholders to align digital initiatives with organisational strategy and IP development. He has also managed cross-functional teams and facilitated workshops and knowledge exchange across sectors.

Furthermore, he is the author of approximately 30 high-impact publications in technological innovation and the inventor of three novel IPs in the field of FinTech.
