Pamela Varley

Senior Research Impact Fellow

Pamela joined INDEX in 2023, and is focussed particularly on harnessing the impact of research emerging from the Defence Data Research Centre.

Prior to this, she led an applied research unit at the University of Plymouth, delivering specialist research and evaluation services for public, private and third sector organisations.

Pamela’s research interests lie in impact measurement, systems change and learning capture. Her work centres on translating insight into action, and the promotion of evidence-informed practice. She is also concerned with digital transformation, and the social impacts of new technologies.
