Aleksandra Stelmach is a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Business School, where she is working on Responsible Innovation strand of the EPSRC Next-Stage Digital Economy Centre, DIGITLab.
Aleksandra is an interdisciplinary social scientist with a PhD in Science and Technology Studies (STS), and an interest in emerging fields and technological innovation. Her research expertise spans STS, RRI, sociology of medicine and health, and public communication of science and technology. In her research she explores social , ethical and responsible innovation aspects related to the emergence of novel fields, including responsible public communication of innovation. In her research Aleksandra has examined fields with applications in health and environment, such as Developmental Origins of Health and Disease, epigenetics, gene editing and gene drive, gene therapies, cell technologies and most recently digital transformation in agriculture and environmental research.
