Boyeun-Lee

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Boyeun Lee completed her PhD in Design at Lancaster University in 2022. Her PhD research is about the New Product Development Process and Value Creation for the Internet of Things which was a part of the EPSRC Research Hub PETRAS and supported by the studentship from Lancaster University and the RADMA doctoral studies award from the R&D Management Association. Boyeun’s research focuses on data-driven design, design with AI, and design intervention in the value creation of emerging technologies.

Before joining us, she was a post-doctoral research associate at Lancaster University for over two years. During this period, she scrutinises the IoT NPD process and the challenges and opportunities arising from applications of new technologies, such as AI, Big data, and IoT. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a service design researcher for four years in South Korea, through which she gained a wide range of public and commercial experience across sectors and projects, such as policy for service design, design audit, and user experience research.
