Mark Thompson has been appointed as a Senior Editor of the Information and Organisation journal.
Mark’s research draws on practice-based theories to investigate the intersection between emerging digital business models, and organisational innovation and transformation. Earlier this year he presented part of Digital Scotland’s webinar series More recently, he chaired the Digital Leaders’ third Public Sector Innovation Conference.
The Information and Organisation journal ‘seeks to publish original scholarly articles on the relationships between information technologies and social organisation. It seeks a scholarly understanding that is based on empirical research and relevant theory. Information and Organisation also seeks to advance established and emerging theoretical arguments through the publication of papers that review empirical research and provide directions for future research and theory development.
Advances in information and communication technologies are associated with a wide and increasing range of social consequences, which are experienced by individuals, work groups, organizations, interorganizational networks, and societies at large.’
Michael Barrett, Information and Organisation’s Editor-in-Chief, welcomed Mark along with seven other Senior Editors, in the latest news article.
